Learning With Laptops

The staff at St. Raphael School use 21st-Century technology to support learning in all subject areas. Students build media literacy and learn the appropriate use of various technologies in a variety of ways:

• Our laptop program for students in Grades 7 and 8 provides consistent one-to-one access to Apple laptops for all Intermediate students

• Students in Grades 3 to 6 share portable MacBook carts which teachers use on a regular basis in their instruction

•  We have two portable and four stationary SmartBoards, enabling teachers to use current, interactive technology and encouraging students to take an active role in their own learning

• Most staff members have their own MacBooks, which allows them to plan, communicate and teach using up-to-date technology, as well as model the use of technology in the workplace

• Please watch our website for an invitation to our Open House where you can learn more about how St. Raphael School is on the cutting edge of enhancing learning using the latest technology.
